Blogging from a War Zone
Throughout reading this book I found many things interesting but none caught my like the part of the book, First-hand Reports: Blogging from a War Zone. I say this because while reading this part of Jill Walker Rettberg's book Blogging Digital Media and Society Series I was very intrigued by just the title of this section. As I read deeper and deeper in to the section I was intrigued by Lieutenant Smash's blog style because it was almost like a diary type but it was for the whole world to see in a sense. An example of this is when Lt. Smash wrote " Still working about 13 to 14 hours everyday. Haven't had a break since Christmas... Sadness at the injury or loss of fellow warriors". You would think that if your in a war zone or talking about deaths of fellow warriors (soldiers) you wouldn't write it like a diary on your blog for everyone to read, but that is what makes blogging unique from many other types of literature and creative writing.
